Roddy White is not only a former player for the Atlanta Falcons, he grew up right outside of the Holy City in James Island, South Carolina. Roddy White has been giving back to kids around the country, and here in his home state via the “Keep the Faith Foundation”. According to the Foundation’s website:
“The Foundation provides scholarships in a variety of areas. We provide scholarships for 4 year colleges, 2 year colleges, trade/technical schools, schools of the arts, and those that may need to attend prep school out of high school. The main concern of the foundation is to help enhance the experience of those who have a desire to continue their education or training in whatever field they desire.”
Right now White’s foundation is accepting applications for ten students to earn $500 scholarships. White is calling this, “Roddy’s Rockstar Scholarship”, and it’s available to any student in Georgia or South Carolina who plans on attending a post-secondary institution, who demonstrates academic achievement and community involvement. Also, the student should have at least a 2.5 GPA or higher.
“Our goal is to help enhance the experience of those who have a desire to continue their education or training in their chosen field,” explained Roddy White.
