Finally – We can stop saying “Free Boosie”

When the verdict was read, it was reported Boosie, bowed his head, stuck his fist in the air and pounded his chest. “You’ve been found not guilty. You stuck your fist up in the air and I can’t exactly say that I blame you,” the judge said.

Finally we can stop staying “Free Boosie”. After an hour long deliberation, a jury of Boosie’s peer delived the final verdict of not guilty on Friday, May 11th. The Baton Rouge rapper, Torrence Hatch, was on trial for the 2009 murder of Terry Boyd where he was accused of hiring Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill Boyd. Louding changed his story many times throughout the years and during the trial admitted that Boosie had never paid him to murder Boyd.

Boosie is currently serving an 8 year sentence on unrelated charges, but with time served, he has, at the most, 4 years to complete.
