Clemson Suspends Three Players a Day Before Bowl Game
In Today’s “C’mon Son” news, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney sent three players packing for violating team rules, aka failing a drug test. The players are kicker Ammon Lakip, tight end Jay Jay McCullough and the triple threat, receiver Deon Cain. The suspension comes a day before Clemson is scheduled to play in the Capital One Orange Bowl against the OK Sooners, or the title game if the Tigers advance.
Coach Swinney stated in a press conference today:
“You don’t do the right things, there’s consequences, It’s really that simple. It’s not a complicated matter at all. We’ve got 115 guys and 112 did what’s right and three of them didn’t. They forfeit the opportunity and privilege to be a part of the game. Really hate it for them. They’re the ones that have to deal with the consequences because they’re missing out on a great opportunity.”
C’MON SON!! Clemson is having a great year, and these kids are willing to risk a potential career of playing professional football for some bad weed or molly! Hope these guys learn their lesson and let’s hope they smarten up for next season – if they get a chance.
