Nate Parker’s “Birth of A Nation” Movie Poster is Just….Epic

As much as people complained this year about “slave movies”, the highly anticipated release of “Birth of a Nation will hit television soon. Director and star of the movie, Nate Parker, posted the official movie poster via Instagram account and the image was powerful. At a time in our nation when many African Americans are feeling the brunt of a brutal history bestowed upon us as a people, the poster is not only compelling, the poster for some feels like a reality.

The image which debuted on Tidal shows the star of the movie, Nat Turner with a noose around his neck that resembles the American Flag. The movie, a tribute to the 1831 Slave Rebellion will be released exclusively on Tidal soon.
