#TheCreatives: Shay Harrington and Tina Snider Bringing Art To The Lowcountry with the opening of the Art Lounge in Moncks Corner
Do Something Different
It’s always good to get out and find that one thing to do that you haven’t done in a while. Often, many of us feel like getting out and having a good time, but we aren’t that interested in going to the club, or we just went to a party last month and don’t feel like going to see the same old people. Sometimes, you just want to do some different!
Well, two young business owners are changing the game for Monks Corner, South Carolina, and giving that area something dope and creative. The Art Lounge had their grand opening this weekend, and if you’re in search of something that you can do on a date, with your kids, a girls night out, or by yourself – then this is where you need to be. What’s extra dope about the Art Lounge is that it’s the only sip n’ paint business in the Lowcountry owned by young, black, female entrepreneurs, Shay Harrington and Tina Snider and (if i’m wrong, leave a comment).
The Art Lounge, paint classes, and sip n’ paints, are trends that will never go out of style. Where else can you listen to your favorite music, party, sip wine, learn a skill, AND get to take something home with you? This weekend during their grand opening, Shay and Tina had Savannah from Star 99.7 host their big event, and even had a special celebrity guest in the building, O’Shit of VH1’s Black Ink. They also provided very dope instructors/artists including, JaySoul, Casso Washington, and Grizzly! Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and were all smiles when they finally left with their beautiful and unique masterpieces. The Art Lounge is definitely dope, and we have to applaud these women (Shay and Tina) for launching this business can bringing art and creativity to the Lowcountry.
