First Nickelodeon aired the BET Awards and now… they are making cartoon history with the first ever animation depicting a interracial/ gay couple. The couple will appear on The Loud House, a story about a kid named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters.

The Dads’ names are Harold and Howard McBride, voiced by comedians Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald. Though the preview below brings no attention to anything regarding sexuality, just the mere showcasing of same-sex parents may still cause a stir. The network decided they wanted to reflect diversity as far as parenting is concerned, but what do you think? Is it cool, especially since they never actually discussed sexuality; or, is it too much? We are sure many people will have LOTS to share, but at least this answers your old age questions about Bert and Ernie. #smirk
