Siblings, Anthony and Candace Williams, have put a new twist on the traditional travel pillow. The duo claims that this new and improved travel pillow will revolutionize the travel industry. The pillow is described as one-of-a-kind, it provides individualized support that attaches to the seat belt or to your waistband.

The pillow was created in an effort to make long flights more bearable, making it easier to rest with comfort while sitting upright. Anthony Williams, a neurophysiologist and CEO of “Journey Pillow” discusses the impact of this new pillow: “We are excited about the impact Journey Pillow will have on the travel industry. This product will revolutionize travel by eliminating the desire for preferred seating. By allowing your neck to stay in alignment anywhere you sleep, the Journey Pillow helps travelers realize the health benefits of adequate sleep,” Williams concluded.

This melodic, soulful hip-hop treat is given to us by two legends, Nas and Erykah Badu and brought to us from the soundtrack for “The Land”, an upcoming film executive-produced by Nas and Machine Gun Kelly.

Here, Erykah Badu is serving us some Erykah/Nina Simone harmonious soul, “hmm this bitter land, does nothing for love. hmm this bitter land, brings pain from above” Meanwhile, string instruments draw us further into the track, leading us to the complimentary sounds of Nas who lyrically illustrates the familiar stories of life in the streets: “life is like a hood, hard. trying not to fall between the cracks. and the cracks are so dark, and the dark seems more appealing than the light, in the land where you gotta fight, catch a body in the night, we need a plan to survive…“

The Land and its soundtrack premiers this Friday. The film tells the story of some teens from Cleveland who are a part of the underground hip-hop scene in their city. The skateboarders become involved in a dangerous drug deal that’s threatening everything they’ve worked for. Kanye, Pusha T, French Montana and more are featured on the film’s soundtrack.

Last night FLOTUS delivered a speech that will be plagiarized for years to come (kidding). No really, our First Lady was able to sum up the man her Husband is, what it takes to be a real leader, being black in America, being an American, and the influence of Hillary Clinton’s presidency for women and girls across the world, all in one speech! Whether or not you are a fan of Clinton, you have to give props to the first lady for lighting the fire of bringing more supporters under the wings of the Clinton campaign. If you missed the speech, here it is in its entirety.

These are the type of stories that make you think twice before complaining. The story of 14-yr-old Jerica Bolen, a teen who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy Type 2 (SMA), broke approximately two-weeks ago and quickly went viral. Jerika Bolen decided because of her disease, that she says has given her constant pain for most of her life, she has made the heart-wrenching decision to die. Jerica has been in a wheelchair for as long as she can remember, she is also unable to move most of her body with the exception of her hands and parts of her face.


In light of her decision, Jerika decided that wanted a prom, she is calling it, “her last dance”. The town of Appleton, WI came out in droves for this celebration of life. Jerika had her hair and nails done, flowers have been sent to her from around the world, a famous YouTube star made an appearance, and her favorite boy band sent her a video message.

In August, Jerika will stop using her ventilator which helps her breathe, while she is placed in hospice care. Jerika’s expressed her excitement about her prom night because she says she does not have many friends, According to Bolen, “I’ll be able to see all of my family and meet new people and say ‘hi’ to everyone there. And it’s going to be filled with happiness.”

Jerika had volunteers from around the city that came out to assist her in getting ready for her prom, she has touched many hearts, and we will continue to pray for her and her family.

Here’s a young man who has become a hashtag for all of the right reasons! 16-yr-old Isaiah Cooper made history recently after completing his record-breaking flight across the continental United states. His trip lasted approximately two weeks, Cooper flew 8,000 miles, and he overcame rough weather according to his flight instructor. Robin Petgrave, Isaiah’s flight instructor told NBC LA:

“He was able to execute the emergency procedures flawlessly, got it on the road, landed, didn’t damage the houses, the schools, the construction crew, nothing. I mean, he got out of that thing safely,”

Now that Isaiah has concord the U.S., he is already planning for his next big goal: Becoming the youngest pilot to fly around the world. He has already established a GoFundMe account and talk about the impact flying has made in his life, Isaiah explains:

“I began attending an aviation youth program in Compton at Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum (TAM) when I was 5 years old. But as I got older, I began hanging with the wrong crowd, doing seriously self destructive things. Realizing that this was not how I wanted to live my life, I returned to TAM. My main goal is to become a productive young man with a future in aviation, and not a statistic.”

The record for the youngest person to fly around the world is currently held by 19 yr-old Matt Guthmiller of South Dakota. Isaiah will be 18 yrs-old when be embarks on his new goal. Cooper has grabbed some major media attention since accomplishing his goal, becoming a trending topic on twitter and even getting a shot out from P Diddy and other celebrities. Thank you Isaiah for giving us a great story to share and good luck!
