On tonight, Erica Garner’s official Twitter page, being handled by one of her employees, stated that, “Her condition has not changed today.” This is an update on activist, and daughter of Eric Garner, who was killed by NYPD in 2014 while selling loose cigarettes, after being put in a choke hold for over 15 minutes.
Erica is only 27 years old and according to her family, she suffered a heart attack on Christmas Eve. The young woman, who first became involved in activism after her father’s brutal death, suffered a first cardiac episode a few months ago. Her family members became even more concerned discovering she was pregnant, as the pregnancy continued to put a strain on her heart, which had become enlarged. Erica had her baby in August, but the stress on her heart still continued.
Close family members, friends, and employees have delivered the frightening news regarding Erica’s health, in a statement to the NY Post, Erica’s step mother stated, “Erica is on life support. She can’t breathe on her own. So, she’s not doing well.”
Erica, who the world now knows as a fighter, is known for being a very vocal activist who has put Mayor de Blasio and the NYPD on blast for how they handled her father’s case. So as we continue to pray that her fighting nature overcomes her current comatose state, we will continue to watch the updates via twitter in hopes that Ms. Garner will recover.

#NYPD cleared me out of the ICU leaving Erica BY HERSELF WITH NO EXPLANATION … We are at woodhull hospital. They are supposed to be bringing her out of her coma in less than an hour and the #NYPD cleared her support from the floor with no explanation.

Here is an update on Erica … She is in Woodhull hospital. The police all of sudden rushed me not only out of her room where I was all night and have a pass to be they rushed me out of the icu with no explanation.
