Recently given the title of U.S. Female Olympic Athlete of the Year, Simone Biles and broken yet another record. According to USA Today, Biles has won her forth consecutive title at the U.S. gymnastics championships. With this win, Biles becomes the first woman in over 40 years to win four titles.
According to final scores, Simone surpassed the competition by leaps and bounds. Her score, 62.100 was almost four points better than the runner-up. In Gymnastics, four points is a ridiculous lead. Biles’ competitors were far from a bunch of amateurs – she defeated top notch American gymnasts who are some of the best in the world. Raisman, the runner-up, was a double-gold medalist, Gabby Douglas, a defending Olympic champion, and Laurie Hernandez, last year’s junior champion. Also add champions from Romania and Russia to that list. Basically, Simone slayed.
