Today is a great day in hip-hop history. June 16, 1971 one of the greatest rappers/poets of all time was born and changed the music world forever. Tupac can easily be labeled as one of the greatest poets/rappers because of his complexity, outspokenness, creativity, talent and the mystique he had as an artist. There isnt an artist who has or had such a wide range of subject matter and purpose in their music since Pac, and for that he will always be studied, mimicked and celebrated.

Jhene Aiko was only eight years old when Tupac died, but ever since she watched 2003 “Tupac: Resurrection” documentary, it has obviously had an affect on her life. As a huge fan of Pac, Jhene along with Photographer, Danny Williams recreated three of Pac’s famous photos. Check out Jhene’s photos and music she shared with MTV in honor of Tupac’s birthday.
