Despite ALL of the local “HATE” we are hoping that congratulations are in order. There are rumors that Bravo’s reality series “Southern Charm” is slated to return for a second season. A lot of people from South Carolina had PLENTY of negative things to say about the show – but we know how that is. In the end, Thomas Ravenel and his crew came out on top pulling in 1.2 million total viewers on the final episode. Of course, these numbers are attributed to the announcement that 22 year old Kathryn Dennis and 51 year old Thomas Ravenel celebrated the birth of their new baby girl. Despite Ravenel’s shady past and his arrogance on the show, I’m actually glad to see hear that Southern Charm may be returning to television. We’ll keep you posted!

Yes, that’s right, Bravo has been filming here in the lowcountry, for about 7 months to premiere a new reality show based in Charleston, SC. The show is the about the so-called “Closed Society”, you know the Charleston Aristocracy – that means – Charleston’s Well-To-Do natives. The star of the show is our very own Thomas Ravenel – you guys remember – our former state treasurer who served time for cocaine charges out there in the Mt. Pleasant area. Ravenel was also recently arrested in July on DUI charges in Hampton NY. Other cast members include Shep Rose, nephew of former S.C. Department of Safety director Boykin Rose and executive producer Whitney Sudler-Smith. Sudler-Smith is the son of Patricia Altshul, the Manhattan socialite who moved to a mansion South of Broad in 2008.
