President Elect Donald Trump seems to be having some issues booking entertainment for his upcoming inauguration in D.C., however, there are some really fabulous alternate events being held for folks that don’t want any part of Trump’s inauguration. Most of these events are not exactly claiming to be anti-Trump; however, they are proclaiming they are pro-peace, pro-love, and pro-diversity. So, if you’re in D.C., perhaps you can check out some of these events before tickets are completely sold out!

Busboys & Poets presents the Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and resistance. This is a nonpartisan event that will take place at the National Museum of African American History. This will be a night of performances from poets and music artists including Alice Walker, Angela Davis, Danny Glover and Solange. Update: All tickets have been sold out!

Last, but most certainly not least, if you are in D.C. and you really want to turn up, then the Unity Ball may be more of your style. According to their website:

“The campaign season was rough and the results were brutal. Therefore, we proudly present the Unity Ball, a dance party created for all hombres, nasty women, millennials, moms and dads, boys who like boys, girls who like girls, and other humans who believe in progress, equality, inclusion, and community. Welcome to a stunning two-level, multimedia-infused, glass & steel bash for a night of celebration with your fellow progressive Americans!”
